You can also choose how big you want the paragraph text area to be. To do this, you need to click and drag the text box. There is also the option to make a paragraph text field. Another benefit of point text is it will automatically expand to fit whatever you are typing in. Basically, if you want to add short text, you can just click space and create a point text input. This is great for single lines and gives you a cleaner look. When you just do a single click you will create point text. To make further adjustments to the shadows, you can do it from within the timeline. You can easily add drop shadows in HitFilm Express, and then just drag them onto the text layer.

Adding ShadowsĪdding shadows will give the texts more depth. Not only that, you can even change the outline color as well. This will give the text you add a nice-looking outline. From there go to the text control panel and just increase the size of the stroke width. To add an outline, you need to first go to the media panel again. All these will make your project come to life and make it look much more dynamic and professional. There are options to add shadows and also outlines. You can do a lot more to text in HitFilm Express. Simple and super easy! More Text Formatting Options Just click on the text tool and click the place you want to add the text on the viewer. From here you can simply start typing your text. This will automatically create a cursor at the dead center of the viewer. To create a new layer for text, you need to open the new layer menu on any composite shot timeline. I will explain the differences between these a little later on in the article.
